Material Waste Controller
Basic Pay £11.91 Overtime £16.43 – 21.09
We run various shift patterns ranging from
Early shift (6.00 - 15.30) Monday – Thursday
Back shift (15.00 -12.30 am) Monday – Thursday
Day shift (7.00 -17.00) Monday – Thursday
Night shift (19.00 - 4.30) Monday – Thursday
Weekend shift (6.00 – 18.00) Friday - Sunday
Shift Premium is an additional £2.66 for Back shift/ Night shift and Weekend shift
Shift Premium is an additional 0.84p for Early shift
Pre- Entry Qualification/experience
- Minimum of 12 months experience with proven knowledge and understanding of materials used in the production environment
- Computer literate specifically with Excel, Word and Chess
- Excellent communication skills
- Good team building skills and a drive to progress within the operation
- Confidentiality
- MRP understanding
Duties
- Unload components when required (from internal and external suppliers) update Chess accordingly
- Check kits (wood, plastic, metal) from feeder factories for identification and shortages, follow reporting process for any deviations
- Delivering correct materials/quantities to the boat on time
- Responsible for ordering stock and ensuring stock rotation is adhered to
- Monitor and investigate waste
- Implement cost savings initiatives through continuous improvement activities
- Collate daily issues / problems and discuss with department Manager
- Use Chess to resolve issues
- Liaise with other departments to avoid any unnecessary disruption to boat lines
